My most recent excuse for not writing was being sick of sitting at my desk. Its a bit of a lame excuse because on my desk is a laptop. However, my laptop is connected to a mouse, keyboard, external backup drive, etc. And I opted for a larger size laptop because when we travel, its a portable DVD player. So its big.

I had been looking at the little Neo wordprocessors I’ve seen in the writing magazines until I saw this little ASUS. It won’t replace a laptop, but for the size and what it offers, I thought it was a great deal. I can write my stories, do research online, and carry it in my purse. I can even watch/listen to media files.

The keyboard is tiny and takes some adjusting too. And I don’t like the mouse pad (I don’t like them on any laptops because I bump them when I type and end up messing up my text). But I can plug a mouse into it and fix that.

I bought the 2 gig (as opposed to 4). Most reviewers indicated they wished they had bought the larger, but I think I’ll be okay with the smaller. For one, its green, so it looks cool (the larger only comes in white and black). And since it supposed to only be used for writing my book, I don’t need that much space.

We’ll hope this is the answer although I’m afraid I’ll still have the same issues… not enough time and when I do have time not enough energy.
